"Not only popular and not only erudite; "Brazilianity" is the basic concept of the record" explain Imperatore. Thinking of translate this brazilian musical value, he had a team of friends to produce boTECOeletro: Donatinho, Antoine Midani, Mauiricio Barros(Barao Vermelho), Dadi, Frejat, Cabelo (artista plastico), Sergio Loroza, Claudio Mazza, Rodrigo Maranhao, Fernando Nunas (das bandas de Cassia Eller e Nando Reis) e Felipe Rodarti (Eletrosamba). Imperatore received in 2002 and 2003 a invite to your song Coconutz Mass were played em big stations radios from Paris, Londres, Berlin, Tokio, and other cities. The music was selected to make part of 5 international compilations.
First launched in August of 2004, the album had excellent acceptance from the media, as well as, the music business and Ęprofessionals. The crowd at the dancefloor also approved what they heard in the presentations - live p.a. - that boTECO made throughtout of 2005 in some capitals of Brazil.

In may of the same year, the BoTECOeletro project was invited by the Government of the Mexico City to perform at the "Festival de las Culturas", with participants from 80 countries.
Before releasing boTECOeletro in Brazil, the musician traveled, in 2002 and 2003, carrying a stack of CD demo and a list of musical producers. During the trip Imperatore got the track "CoconutzMass" to be aired in great radios in Paris, London, Berlin etc. The track also was selected to integrate five international compilations. The track was also included in Eletronic Arts' FIFA SOCCER 2006 video game.
During june and October of 2007 boTECOeletro did it first European Tour, including cities like Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, Torino, Bologna, Graz.
In March 2008, boTECO went to Andes to perform live shows in La Paz, Bolivia.
The first appearance of Ricardo Imperatore in the musical scenario was as the drummer and co-founder of the Band Bel, in 1984. After this, he already toured with Ivo Meireles, Cassiano, and the famous brazilian band the Tit‹s. Moreover, Imperatore made special appearances in the Brazilian tours of artists and bands as Midnight Oil, Men at Work and Suzane Vega. Since 2001, he started to dedicate integrally to boTECOeletro.
